Filztasche - Felted bag

Ich hab's gewagt! und die Workshop-Tasche bei 60°C in die Waschmaschine geschmissen! Mitsamt der angenähten Plastik-Bügel - ich hatte vorher aber mit Union Knopf telefoniert, ob das geht :).

I really dared to through the Workshop bag into the washer at 60°C! Including the plastic handles - okay I asked at Union Knopf whether this would work before I did it :).

Und so kam's aus der Maschine.

So it looked when it came out of the washer.

Knautschig, aber wunderschön gleichmäßig in alle Richtungen und über alle Muster gefilzt - das Maschenbild ist noch erkennbar, aber die Tasche ist insgesamt fester und stabiler geworden.

Scrunched up, but the felting went very well and uniformly in all directions and all patterns - the stitch patterns are still visible but the bag has become stronger and robuster.

Geschrumpft ist die Tasche um ca. 10 %, so dass sie jetzt prima um mein 40 x 40 cm Kissen trocknen kann.

The shrinkage was about 10 %, and now the bag can dry around a 40 x 40 cm pillow.

Fazit:
Die Taschenbügel von Union Knopf vertragen eine 60°-Wäsche, ohne zu verfärben oder kaputt zu gehen!
Und die Preberwolle von Ferner ist ein tolles Garn, das sich prima filzen lässt und dabei in Länge und Breite gleichmäßig filzt und einen festen und trotzdem weichen Filz ergibt.

Conclusion:
The bag handles of Union Knopf tolerate a 60°C  machine washing without loosing color or breaking.
And Preberwolle of Ferner is a great wool that felts beautifully and evenly in both directions and makes a strong and soft felt.

Heute ist das Garn für die zweite Tasche angekommen (DANKE!!!!), ab morgen kann ich dann für den Workshop Swing Light neue und gute Stepfotos machen!
