Bens Babydecke - Ben's baby blanket

Hurra! Sie ist endlich fertig, die Decke für Baby Ben! Ungefilzt habe ich sie euch ja schon gezeigt, und jetzt hat sie sich in der Waschmaschine zusammen mit 18 Tennisbällem genau zu der dichten, warmen und wunderbar weichen Decke entwickelt, die ich mir vorgestellt habe.
Gestrickt aus 2400 g Zitron Fundus und Zitron Bottone (beide 100% Schurwolle, 100m/50g) mit Nadel 5 war sie gut 180 x 180. Nach dem 60°-Waschgang ist sie 128 x 134 und muste nach dem Filzen auch kaum in Form gezogen werden, da sie durch das tolle Material und die Biese rundum total gleichmäßig geschrumpft ist.

Sie passt genau zu der Kinderwagentasche, die ich aus den gleichen Materialien gemacht hatte.






Hurray! Finally I have finished Ben's baby blanket! I already showed it to you unfelted. Now it shared the 60°C washing machine with 18 tennis balls and became just the warm, soft and dense blanket I had hoped for.
I knitted up 2400 g of Zitron Fundus and Zitron Bottone, both 100% pure wool and 100m/50g with needles US8. The blanket was about 180 x 180 cm. After felting it is 128 x 134 cm. It hardly needed any stretching after felting because of the very good materials and the pin-tuck around it.
