Zwischen-Gestrick - Intermezzo Knitting

Nein, die Tuttifrutti Jacke ist noch lange nicht fertig - ich sag nur "Ääääääärmel" .......

Und da ich das Gequengel von Curly Sue "Tun deine Finger noch weh? Hast du jetzt genug anderes gestrickt? Wann bekomme ich meine Hose?" nicht mehr länger anhören konnte, habe ich kurzerhand das Kobold-Büxken in Angriff genommen :)!

No, my Tuttifrutti cardi isn't finished yet, I can tell you about "sleeee-eeee-eeee-ves" ......

But I couldn't stand Curly Sue's whining any longer: "Are your fingers still hurting? When will you have knitted enough of other things? When will I get my pants?" - so I changed plans and started Koboldine pants :)!

Da ich die neue Nadelsorte von Addi, das "Sockenwunder" sowieso testen wollte, habe ich das Höschen dann damit angefangen - gewöhnungsbedürftig, diese 25 cm Rundnadel, mit einer 4,5 cm Spitze an der einen Seite und einer 7,5 cm Spitze an der anderen Seite.

So I started the pants, as I wanted to try the new kind of needle anyway, the "sock wonder" -
you have to get used to this teeny tiny needle, a 25 cm (10") circular with a short 4.5 cm tip on one side and a longer 7.5 cm tip on the other side.

Wenn man sich damit ein bisschen eingestrickt hat, geht es ganz gut und das Maschenbild ist auch nicht mehr so locker und ungleichmäßig - das Nädelchen ist sicherlich eine Alternative für Leute, die mit dem Nadelspiel auf Kriegsfuß stehen oder große Lücken zwischen den einzelnen Spielnadeln beim Stricken bekommen. Für unterwegs sicherlich auch ganz praktisch, weil man keine Spielnadel verlieren kann :)!

When you have got used to the new type of needle, it works fine, and the stitch definition gets better and tighter and more tidy. The tiny circular may be a good alternative for people who can't handle a set of double points or who produce ugly stitches between the double points. Maybe even a good alternative on the road, you can't loose one double point with this circular :)!

Ich hab trotzdem schnell wieder auf mein Holz-Nadelspiel gewechselt, damit strick ich einfach schneller und gleichmäßiger!
Erste Anprobe: So hatte Madame sich das aber nicht vorgestellt: "Neeee, so enge Ärmel für die Beine will ich nicht! Du hast doch auch weite Ärmel an den Beinen!"
Oooooookay, geribbelt, Beine neu konzipiert - und dann war sie damit beschäftigt, zu bibbern, ob die Wolle auch reichen wird!

Nevertheless I changed to my Cubics double points, I knit a lot faster and more evenly with those!
First trying on - this wasn't going to be okay for Madame: "Noooooo, I don't want sleeves that are so tight for my legs! Look at your pants, they have wide sleeves!"
Ooooookay, so I frogged and changed the legs - and then I kept her busy watching the ball of yarn, and jittering whether we had enough yarn left!

 

Nächste Anprobe, es passt und gefällt!!!!

Mittlerweile habe ich beide Beine parallel gestrickt, eins auf dem Nadelspiel, eines mit 50 Maschen auf dem "Sockenwunder" - was man nicht alles macht, wenn die Wolle reichen soll :)!
Auch mit nur 50 Maschen lässt sich die Mini-Rundnadel prima benutzen.


Next trying on, it fits and she likes it!!!!!!

In the meantime I knitted both legs parallelly, one with circulars, the other one with 50 stitches only on  the "sock wonder" - great method to get both legs equally long with only a bit of yarn left :)!
The mini circular works well with only 50 stitches.

 

Für eine weitere Runde reichts es nicht mehr - die Sicherheitsnadel zeigt die Garnmitte an.


No more yarn for another round - the safety pin shows the middle of the left yarn.

Also habe ich die Beinabschlüsse passend zum Pullover gestrickt, und beim dritten Abketten waren sie dann auch elastisch genug, dass die dicken Koboldfüße durch passen :)!

So I knitted the leg cuffs in the sweater yarn, and after the third try casting off was loose enough that the large Kobold feet fit through :)!

Noch "mal eben" die restlichen Fäden vernähen und die verwebten Fäden nachziehen und abschneiden - nicht ganz so spaßig bei 13 (!!!!!) Fehlstellen in 20 Gramm Garn!
Die Fehlstellen sieht man kaum und überstrickt sie leicht, nur schade, dass sich das Garn dann an den Stellen spätestens beim Waschen auflöst ...

"Just" weaving in the remaining yarn ends and tidying up and cutting the woven-in ends - not so funny with 13 (!!!!!) faulty spots in just 20 g of yarn!
You can hardly see these faulty spots and have to pay attention not to knit them in, because the yarn will break there, latest when you wash it ...

Und jetzt geht sie alle 10 Minuten gucken, ob ihre neue Hose schon trocken ist!

And now she goes outside every 10 minutes to look whether her new pants have already dried!
Yes, she already makes lists what she needs to have knitted and what else she and Lucky need :)!
