Wunschschön geschmückte Tische, und die Tischdekoartion hat eine besondere Geschichte:
Um den neuseeländischen Sand, in dem die wunderschönen Orchideen stehen, vom Zoll abholen zu können, musste eine der Vogue Knitting Redakteurinnen "mal eben" einen Fischereischein machen ...... Einen Tag vor dem Ereignis konnte sie dann mit frischgebackenem Schein den Sand vom Zoll abholen Komische Bürokratie gibt es nicht nur in Deutschland!
Oh, it's been a long time since I wrote the last entry. Sorry, there was a lot of things happening in my private life!
Today I'll show you photos of the Gala Diner.
The tables were decorated marvelously, and the decorations have their own story: The beautiful orchids are standing in New Zeelandian sand. This sand was sent by post.To get this sand out of the customs, one of the Vogue Knitting editors had to pass the exam for fishing authorization .... One day before the event she could fetch the sand from the customs, waving her freshly baked fishing licence. Not only Germany has sometimes queer burocracy!
The finalists sat together at two tables. So we were able to talk a bit with each other. Such wonderful people I got to know a bit!

The interesting lecture of film star and knitter Karen Allen ....
.... und dabei wurde natürlich auch gestrickt!... and some guests had brought their knitting!
