Schätze aus Finnland - Finnish treasures

Ich habe euch meine aus Finnland mitgebrachten Schätze noch gar nicht gezeigt!

I didn't show you yet the treasures I brought back from Finland!

Auf dem Marktplatz des Nordic Knitting Symposiums haben einige der Teilnehmerinnen handgefärbte Garne und mehr verkauft - das war echt die Qual der Qual!
Dies ist ein von Anna handgefärbtes Maulbeerseiden-Kid Mohair-Gemisch - das musste einfach mit!

On the Nordic Knitting Symposium market place, some of the participants sold their hand dyed yarns and more - a spoilt for choice!

Bei Loftet, der finnischen Handarbeits- und Kunsthandwerksorganisation, werden hauptsächlich Erzeugnisse lokaler Künstler und Kunsthandwerker verkauft.
Dieser handgeflochtene Korb aus Birkenrinde musste mit - und drum herum habe ich dann den Koffer gepackt, um den Korb heil nach Hause zu bringen :)!

Loftet is the Finnish organization for handicrafts. They mainly sell locally manufactured goods.
This bag is handmade of birch wood bark. I had to pack my suitcase around it to get it home safely :).

Und die mussten auch mit - die kann man über den Topfrand packen, um beim Nudel- oder Kartoffelkochen den Topfdeckel nicht ganz geschlossen zu halten - sind die nicht niedlich!!!

Those had to join me as well. They are made to go over a pot's rim to keep the lid a bit open when cooking pasta or potatoes - aren't they cute?

Ihr seht, ich schwelge in Erinnerungen an den wunderschönen Finnland-Aufenthalt - viel mehr geht leider auch nicht zur Zeit :)!
Gestern war ich dann doch beim Arzt, weil's nicht anders ging - und jetzt hoffe ich, dass Antibiotika, Cortison, Codein und 2 verschiedene Asthma-Sprays so langsam mal anschlagen .... zumindest das Fieber sinkt schon mal langsam, der Rest kommt auch noch - schließlich will ich bis nächsten Donnerstag wieder fit sein - da geht's zum Stricktreffen nach Nordenham, ich freu mich so darauf!!!!!!
Gleich guck ich mal, was ich gestern so zusammengestrickt habe - das von vorgestern konnte ich gestern gleich wieder ribbeln :).
Schade nur, dass ich jetzt so viele schöne Zeit verliere, die ich richtig gut verplant hatte - damit's endlich mit den Modellveröffentlichungen aus den Buchprojekten weiter geht .... an Arbeit brauche ich zur Zeit echt nicht zu denken ....

You see I wallow in memories of the wonderful time in Finland - that's all I can do for now :)!
Yesterday I had to go to the doctor, no way to avoid it - and now I hope that antibiotics, cortisone, codeine and 2 different asthma sprays will do their work ... the fever at least is already slowly going down, everything else will follow soon I hope. I have to be fit and healthy by next Thursday - I'll go to the Nordenham Stricktreff then, I am so excited about this meeting!!!
And now I'll look what I knitted yesterday - my knitting of the day before I could frog at once when I saw it yesterday :)!
I'm quite sad about loosing such a lot of really precious time - I had made such good plans what to do during this week! I want to work on the former book projects to get them published! But I need not think about working for now ....
