Stricktreff August 2018

In kleiner, feiner, gemütlicher Runde haben wir einen wunderschönen Sonntag miteinander verbracht - und ich habe kaum Fotos gemacht!

We spent a wonderful Sunday in a small and very relaxing group - and I only took a few photos!


Susanne zeigt uns ihre fertigen Stulpen - wunderschön, nach der Anleitung 8ern-Wasser von Renate Schattschneider!

Susanne shows us her finished wristlets - so beautiful, she used the German translation by Renate Schattschneider of the Pieces of Eight Mitts by Sybil Ra.

In neuen Büchern und Heften geschmökert, viel geredet, Spaß gehabt, ein bisschen gestrickt - und Sabine hat mir gezeigt, wie ich die von Anne ausgeliehene Kardiermaschine richtig sauber zurückgeben kann!

We looked into new books and magazines, talked a lot, had a lot of fun, knitted a bit - and Sabien showed me how to clean the drumcarder properly. I have borrowed it from Anne and I want to give it back as clean as possible.  

Sabines Tuch wächst, und es wird ein echter Traum!

Sabine's shawl is growing, and it will become a dream!

Und ich weiß jetzt, wie ich mein Myriad zu einem großen Tuch mache, ohne rundherum kleine Quadrate zu setzen - DANKE für euer Mitdenken und eure Idee, Teile der Anleitung zu wiederholen!
Jetzt muss ich mich nur noch in Ruhe hinsetzen und rechnen, wie ich das anstelle, dass die wiederholten Muster auch in die jeweiligen Maschenzahlen passen :)!

And now I know how to make my Myriad into a large shawl without putting additional squares all around - THANK YOU for your thoughts and inspirations, I'll repeat parts of the pattern to make it larger.
Now I only have to calculate and find out how to get the stitch numbers I need for the repititions :)!

Und das habe ich gestrickt, Viren machen auch vor mir nicht Halt :)!

Und direkt eine gute Gelegenheit, die Crazy Trio Nadeln von Addi zu tesen - ich komme prima damit klar, sie sind eine echte Alternative zum Nadelspiel, und bis zu 80 Maschen kann ich damit problemlos stricken - danach habe ich auf eine Rundnadel mit Magic Loop gewechselt.

And that's what I have knitted - viruses don't stop infecting me as well :)!

When I have finished the first sock, I'll show it to you - a completely new and funny way to knit sox!
The beautiful hand dyed yarn is by Monika Görich.
And it gives me the chance to test the CrazyTrio sock needles made by Addi - I like them, they are a real alternative to double points, I could use them for up to 80 stitches, then changed to a circular with magic loop.

Mich gibt's noch - ich hatte nur bei der Hitze echt keine Lust zu schreiben!

Auch das Stricken ging eher nicht, aber dafür habe ich eine Menge gehäkelt.


Yes, I'm still there - but in this summer's heat I didn't feel like writing!

Knitting was difficult as well, but I did crochet a lot.

Myriad ist kräftig gewachsen - Stück für Stück wächst nicht nur die Decke / das Tuch, sondern auch die deutsche Übersetzung dazu.

Myriad did grow a lot - stitch by stitch not only the blanket / the shawl is growing but the German translation as well.

Zur Zeit häkle ich an Teil 13 (von 15) und teste die deutsche Übersetzung damit.
Nach Teil 14 muss ich mich entscheiden, ob ich noch Erweiterungsquadrate häkle oder direkt die Abschlussborte (Teil 15) anbringe.

Es macht weiterhin sooooooo viel Spaß!!!


I'm just crocheting part 13 (of 15), testing the German translation.
After part 14 I'll have to decide whether I add the additional squares or directly go to the finishing border (part 15).

It's still sooooo much fun!!!

Daneben begleitet mich ein weiteres Häkelprojekt - die Stargazer Extension von Camilla Frederiksson zum Stargazer the Beginning Mandala.
Aus dem runden Mandala wird eine rechteckige Decke - spannend!
Die Anleitung dazu gibt es noch nicht - ich bin eine der Testhäklerinnen.

Besides there is another crochet project - Stargazer Extension by Camilla Frederiksson, addition to  Stargazer the Beginning Mandala.
The round mandala is made into a rectangular afghan - thrilling!
There is no pattern available yet - I'm one of the testers.

Und das ist das Gestrick, das mich zur Zeit begleitet - ein Mystery KAL, den ich zusammen mit Eva stricke: Protea Shawl von Hayley Tsang Sather.
Ein spannendes Projekt mit einer ungewöhnlichen Art von Zunahmen, die ich doch gleich mal ausprobieren musste :)!

Swing gibt's demnächst auch wieder - in meinem Kopf brodelt's, ist aber noch nicht reif :)!

Heute geht er los, der Myriad CAL!
Teil 1 wurde soeben in 15 (!!!!) Sprachen veröffentlicht, darunter auch in Deutsch!

Myriad ist ein Riesenspaß zu häkeln - und ich habe dabei unendlich viel gelernt!

Part 1 just has been released, in 15 (!!!!) languages!

Myriad is such fun to crochet - and I learnd myriads of new stitches and techniques!

Teil 7

Wir übersetzen gerade Teil 10 - und die Musterung bleibt so spannend und abwechslungsreich!
Wir, das ist das Hintergrund-Team, etwa 60 Leute für 15 Sprachen - eine tolle Gruppe, in der viel gearbeitet, viel gelacht und auch eine Menge Anteil am Leben genommen wird - und ich bin stolz, dazu zu gehören!

We are just translating part 10 - the pattern stays so exciting and rich in variety!
We, that's the background team, approx. 60 people for 15 languages - it's a great group, where we work hard, laugh hard and take part in life's events - and I am very proud to be part of it!

Insgesamt 15 Teile wird es geben - und ein Erweiterungsquadrat, um die Decke noch größer machen zu können, als Quadrat oder als Rechteck.

Ich liebe die wundervollen Details!

There will be 15 parts - and an additional square to make the blanket even larger, as a square or as a rectangle.
