Stricktreff im Mai - May Stricktreff

Letzten Sonntag war wirklich Sonn-Tag :)!
Trotz schlechter Wettervorhersage konnten wir einen wunderschönen entspannten Tag im Garten verbringen.

Last Sunday really was Sun-day :)!
In spite of the bad weather forecast we could spend a wonderful relaxed day in the garden.

Sabine zeigt die jetzt ganz fertige Spike-Weste - von Brigitta gestrickt, von ihr beendet - und die Weste kleidet sie so gut!

Sabine shows the now completely finished Spike vest - knitted by Brigitta, finished by Sabine - and she looks so good in the vest!

Monika hatte ganz viel wunderschöne handgefärbte Wolle mitgebracht - da blieb's nicht nur beim Gucken und Fühlen:)!

Monika had brought a lot of beautiful hand dyed yarn - we didn't only look and feel :)! 

Suse-Katze war sehr an Susannes Strickzeug interessiert - sie macht einen Sommer-Pullover für sich.

Suse-cat was very interested in Susanne's knitting - she is working on a summer sweater.

Angelika hat wunderschöne Fair Isle-Topflappen gestrickt - da juckt es doch gleich in den Fingern :)!

Angelika has knitted beautiful Fair Isle potholders - my fingers are itching :)!

Monikas neues Tuch wird zu Recht bewundert.

Monika's new shawl is admired with good reason.

Brigitta hat ihr neues Tuch auch fast fertig - Tragefoto gibt's beim nächsten Striucktreff!

Monikas "Wohndecke" - genau das richtige, wenn es bewölkt wurde!

Und noch ein wunderschönes neues Tuch von Monika, gestrickt aus einem ihrer neuen handgefärbten Garne, so kuschelig.

And another beautiful new shawl knitted by Monika, using one of her new hand-dyed yarns, so cuddly.

Angelika hat einen Ausflug in die Welt des Wolle-Färbens gemacht - die Socken aus ihrer selbstgefärbten Wolle sind super geworden!

Angelika made a trip into hand-dying land - the socks made of her self-dyed yarn have become fabulous!

Ein Riesentuch aus ganz vielen Resten in zueinander passenden Farben hat Angelika auch noch fertig - eine tolle Idee!

A gigantic wrap using all her leftovers in matching colors, knitted by Angelika - what a great idea!

Und einen Sommerschal aus Baumwolle hat Angelika auch noch in der Zwischenzeit gestrickt!

Angelika knitted this cotton summer shawl as well in the meantime!

Und das war der absolute Star des Tages - Angelikas Prototyp für einen Überwurf mit Swing-Elementen!
Da wurde bewundert und gemeinsam überlegt - Helmstedt 2020 schaut auch hier schon um die Ecke :)!

And this was the top star of the day - Angelika's prototype for a poncho with Swing-Knitting elements!
We admired it and considered about it - Helmstedt 2020 is already just around the corner :)!

Neue Bücher und Zeitschriften wurden ausgiebig betrachtet, und natürlich hatten wir auch wieder wunderbare Leckereien!

New books and magazines were viewed, and we had some tasty treats of course!

Mein aktuelles Werk darf ich euch leider noch nicht zeigen - das ist ein Test, der noch streng geheim ist.

My WIP I'm not allowed to show you yet - it's a test that's still very secret.

Heute ist der große Tag - ihr Enkel wird nach mehr als 10 Monaten endlich aus dem Krankenhaus entlassen - und deshalb gibt es eine Vorschau auf den neuen CAL!


Today is the day - her grandson will leave the hospital after more than 10 months - that's why she shows a sneak peek of her new CAL!

Ich freue mich, dass ich ein Teil der großen Haaksteek-Familie bin - 60 wunderbare Frauen aus allen unterschiedlichen Kulturkreisen und Kontinenten, die schon eifrig dabei sind, die ersten Teile des neuen CAL in insgesamt 15 (!!!) Sprachen zu übersetzen und zu testen!
Eine Menge Arbeit, eine Menge Spaß!

I'm so happy to be part of the large Haaksteek family - 60 wonderful women from all different cultures and continents, all of them already working busily on the first parts of the new CAL - it will be translated and tested in 15 (!!!) languages!
A lot of work, a lot of fun!

Helmstedt 2019 - toll war's - it was wonderful!

Das war ein herrliches Wochenende, unser alljährliches Swing-Strick-Treffen in Helmstedt!
So viele nette Frauen und Männer, solch ein harmonisches Miteinander, so viel Spaß, so tolle Gespräche, so wunderschöne Gestricke! DANKE an alle, die daran mitgewirkt haben!

It was a wonderful weekend, our yearly Swing-Knitting Meeting in Helmstedt!
So many nice ladies and gentlemen, such harmonious togetherness, so much fun, so wonderful chats, so beautiful knits! THANK YOU to all who took part!
