Mutters Decke und mehr - Mom's afghan and more

Die letzten Schritte der Decke ziehen sich wie Kaugummi :)!

Erst hab ich 3 Krausrippen rund um das gesamte Monster gemacht und dann einen I-Cord-Abschluss angefangen - sah fipsig aus, also noch 2 Krausrippen (= 4 Runden) draufgesetzt.

Dann direkt dem I-Cord angeschlossen (siehe Foto links) - sah doof aus,a lso noch 1 Runde rechts über alle mehr als 1100 Maschen ....

The last steps of Mom's blanket take such an awful lot of time :)!

First I made a border of three garter rideges all around the afghan and started the finishing I-Cord - that border was much too small, it looked incomplete - so I added another 2 garter ridges, that's knitting 4 more rounds.

Then I started the I-Cord cast-off (you can see this try on the photo). The I-Cord directly over the garter didn't look good, so I knitted another round in stockinette over all more than 1100 stitches ...

Ja, so gefällt mir der Abschluss!

Yes, that's it, this border I like!

Eigentlich wollte ich euch schon gestern die fertige Decke zeigen, aber der Abschluss hat dann doch etwas länger gedauert als ich mir das so vorgestellt hatte :)!

I had planned to show you the finished afghan yesterday, but this finishing stepts took a lot more time than I had planned :)!

Stand jetzt: Nach 2 kompletten Abenden I-Cord-Stricken fehlen jetzt noch gut 60 cm - letzte Nacht gegen 2 ging gar nichts mehr :)!

Current status: I have knitted the I-Cord edging for 2 complete evernings, and there are still about 60 cm missing - last night at 2 a.m. I couldn't knit one more stitch :)!

Und dann noch ein bisschen Rückseiten-Kosmetik: verwebte Fäden nachziehen und abschneiden, nicht verwebte Fäden vernähen - das muss doch heute abend zu schaffen sein!

And then comes the back side cosmetics: Pull woven-in ends straight and cut them, sew in some remaining ends - I am sure I will finish it tonight!

Was ich sonst so mache? Mir die Haare raufen!
Da mein bisheriges Buchhaltungs-Programm diese blöde EU-VAT nicht kann, suche ich händeringend nach einem Programm, mit dem ich genau das kann - die Umsätze getrennt nach EU-Land buchen, die Umsatzsteuer für jedes EU-Land getrennt erfassen ... Also gucke ich mir diverse Programme an, schreibe an Supports, suche nach Alternativen - kann doch wohl nicht sein, dass ich dafür eine "Zweitbuchhaltung" mit handgestrickter Excel-Tabelle basteln muss, oder? Wurde mir von 2 Software-Firmen als "Lösung" bisher so mitgeteilt ... auf 5 Antworten warte ich noch ...
Na ja, mit so nem Sch*** verbringt man dann auch mal eben diverse Tage und Stunden am Rechner ...

What else do I do? I tear my hair!
The accounting software I have worked with up to now, cannot cope with this nasty EU VAT. So I search for a new programme that can manage keeping accounts for each EU country seperately and each country's VAT separately ...
So I test programs, write to supports, look for new programs ---- it can't be that I have to make up a second book keeping on a "hand-knitted" Excel sheet???? This was the "solution" already 2 software manufacturers offered ... still waiting for 5 more answers ...
What a theme to spend days and hours searching because of the EU sh***!
