Mal eben - Just quickly

Einen Namen hat es schon, das neue Tuch, an dem ich gerade arbeite - "Sun Teaser", Sonnen-Locker, um endlich den Sommer hervorzulocken ...

Ich bin zwar noch nicht so weit, dass ich den Abschluss des Tuches stricken kann, wollte aber gestern "mal eben" ausprobieren, wie ich meine Vorstellung umsetzen kann ...

Though there is still a part to knit before I start the border, I wanted to know "just quickly" how a border according to my inner picture could work ...

Vor einiger Zeit habe ich diesen Kurs auf Craftsy gefunden, das könnte eine Methode sein!

Oooookay, and how do I knit something like this technically?
Some time ago I found this class on Craftsy, this could be a way!

So I bought the class and watched parts of it ...

Spielgarn raus und erst einmal das Original-Element nachgestrickt - das guckt aber in die falsche Richtung und wird zu breit, und es hat keine Spitze, sondern ein stumpfes Ende. Und einiges andere gefällt mir daran auch nicht.

So I took some play yarn and first knitted the original openwork element - this one points into the wrong direction, it is too wirde and it does not have a tip but a blunt end. And some more things I don't like about it.

Überlegt, gerechnet, ausprobiert - hier meine 3 Versuche.

I reflected, planned, and tried - these are my 3 tries.

Nr. 1: noch zu breit, und die angedeutete Spitze mit Zu- und Abnahmen gefällt mir nicht, sieht nicht sauber genug aus.
Ach ja, ich hab dann direkt an die Außenkante einen angestrickten I-Cord gehängt.

No. 1: Still too wide, and the tip with increases and decreases does not look tidy enough.
Yes, I directly added an attached I-Cord to the outward edge.

Nr. 2: Die Zu- und Abnahmen durch verkreuzte Maschen ersetzt, deutlich besser!

No 2: Instead of increases and decreases I worked with right and left crossed stitches, a lot better!

Nr. 3: Noch ein paar Kleinigkeiten geändert, so gefällt es mir dann!
Jetzt muss ich "nur noch" ausprobieren, ob das mit dem Originalgarn auch so klappt und ob ich das mit einer dünneren Nadel oder der gleichen Nadel wie das Tuch stricken muss.
Und dann Schritt für Sxchritt mitschreiben und fotografieren ..
Das mach ich dann morgen!

No 3: Changed a few minor things, that's it!
Now I "only" have to try whether it will work out with the original yarn, and whether I can keep my 3.5 mm needle or have to change to a smaller one.
And then knit and explain it step by step and take step photos ...
These are my plans for tomorrow!

Mittlerweile wurde es dann schon dunkel :) ...

Meanwhile it had begun to grow dark :) ...
