Mein Borkumbär - My Borkum teddy

Ich hab euch doch versprochen, euch mein Borkumer Strickexperiment zu nzteigen - und das tu ich heute!

I promised to show you my Borkum knitting experiment - today I do so!

Eigentlich sollte das ja eine Jacke für meine Kobolde werden - aber da zeigte sich schnell, dass das viel zu groß wird!


It was meant to become a cardigan for my Kobolds - but very soon I could see that it would become much too large!

Dann hatte ich also heulende Kobolde im Rucksack, die sich weigerten, ohne angemessene Strandkleidung den Rucksack zu verlassen :).

So I had moaning Kobolds in my backpack who didn't want to leave the backpack without proper beach clothing :).

Ein bisschen "Spielgarn" hatte ich ja mit, und somit habe ich einen Tag damit verbracht, die beiden neu einzukleiden.

I had some "play yarn" with me, and so I spent a day making new clothes for both of them.

 Lucky konnte in seiner Bermuda endlich die Sonne genießen.


Lucky could finally enjoy the sun in his bermuda shorts.

Und mit neuem Bikini-Oberteil und Handtuch hat sich dann auch Curly Sue aus dem Rucksack getraut.

Wearing her new bikini top and a towl, Curly Sue was ready to leave the backpack.

Endlich fertig!

Zufriedene Kobolde, und ohne deren Gemecker und Gjammer durfte ich dann auch an meinem Experiment weiterstricken!


Happy Kobolds, and without their moaning and whining I could knit on on my experiment!

 Ja, es ist wieder eine unendliche Spirale - diesmal anders komzipiert - und mein Plan war, daraus eine Strickjacke zu machen.

Yes, again it's an eternal spiral, but this time it is built differently - and my plan was to make it into a cardigan.

Und das ganze mit einem modifizierten Raglan von oben kombiniert

Und dann sah ich diesen Bär!
Probierte ihm im Laden mein Werkstück an, und es passte genau!
Also gehört der Borkumbär jetzt auch mit zur Familie :).

Und ich konnte mit dem neuen Model weiterstricken ...


And then I sah this bear!
I tried my WIP on him in the shop - and it fitted perfectly!
So he now is a family member as well :). 

And I could knit on with this new model.

 So einen tollen Arbeitsplatz hätte ich gern immer!!!!!!

I'd really love to always have such a working space!!!!!!

 

Und dann - tadaa!!!! schnipp-schnapp!!! - aus dem Pullover wird eine Jacke!

And then - tadaa!!! snip-snap!!! - the jumper has become a cardigan!

Die Ärmel fehlen noch - 20 cm Garn hatte ich übrig, nachdem ich so weit war :)!

The sleeves are still missing - 20 cm yarn was all I had left then :)!

Nachschub ist mittlerweile angekommen - jetzt bekommt der Borkumbär auch Ärmel an seine Jacke, braucht man ja auch beim aktuellen Wetter :)! 

Additional yarn has already arrived so that I can knit sleeves to the Borkum bear's cardigan - that's what you need in the actual weather :)!

Und jetzt das gleiche nochmal in (sehr) groß für mich - wie es klappt, habe ich ja jetzt ausprobiert!
Ich sag nur "Helmstedt 2018" !
Da wird es dann einen Live Kurs dazu geben!


And now I'm going to knit this in (very) large for me - now I know how to proceed!
I only tell you "Helmstedt 2018" !
There I'll teach a live class on it!
