UFO-Wochenende - UFO weekend

Nachdem mir so langsam die Projekttaschen ausgingen :), habe ich mich vergangenes Wochenende dann mal meinen UFOs gewidment und versucht, den Berg etwas abzubauen :) - und Projekttaschen für neue UFOS frei zu bekommen!


Becaue I really ran short of project bags :), I decided to attend to my UFOs for the complete weekend. "Reducing the mountain" was my theme :) - and getting some empty project bags for new UFOs!

Mein Combinatorics Tuch ist am vorletzten Wochenende gleich bei meiner Mutter geblieben :) - und ich weiß ja, dass sie gern die passende Mütze zu einem Tuch hat!

Also habe ich die Reste vom Combinatorics und einer meiner Tuttifrutti-Jacken zusammengenommen und so mit Wollium Merino 8fach die Mütze gestrickt - diesmal ziemlich genau nach der Anleitung der Gibson Girl von Birgit Freyer - Mutters erklärter Lieblings-Mützenschnitt!

Statt der gestrickten Rose habe ich eine Filzblume auf die Stelle gesetzt, an der die Maschen zusammengezogen werden - so habe ich das Orange auch in der Mütze - vom orangenen Garn hatte ich nämlich absolut nichts mehr!

My Combinatorics shawl stayed at my Mom's when I visited her the weekend before :) - and I know she loves to have the matching hat for a shawl!

So I took all the remaining Wollium Merino 4ply that I had - the leftovers of the combinatorics and of one of my Tuttifrutti cardigans, and I could knit the hat with 8 ply yarn. This time I really could follow the Gibson Girl (by Birgit Freyer) pattern - it's Mom's favortie hat pattern!

Instead of the knitted rose I sew a felted flower to the place where the hat edge is gathered - so the orange color shows on the hat as well - not a meter had been left of the orange part of the yarn!

Dieses Teil habe ich mir dann auch endlich mal geschnappt - ziemlich lustlos, aber beim Machen war's dann okay.
Ab 8 Jahre soll die Bastelpackung sein .... ich frag mich nur, welches 8jährige Kind das schaffen soll, mit 2,5 mm Häkelnadel dieses ätzende sich ständig teilende Garn fest zu berhäkeln und aus 9 klitzekleinen Teilchen die Eule zusammenzusetzen!

And I decided to finally do this one - quite listlessly, but when I started it was okay.
The kit was intended for children 8+ ... I only ask what 8 year old child will succeed in crocheting this *** yarn that splits so easily with a 2.5 mm crochet hook tightly, and to join 9 teeny tiny parts to the owl!

4,5 Stunden später war das Eulchen dann fertig - stolze 8 cm groß, da hat man mehr Näh- und Vernähfäden in der Hand als alles andere :)!

Wollt ihr mal den Größenvergleich auf meiner "Fotounterlage" sehen?

4.5 hours later the owlet was finished - gigantic 8 cms high, it seems to consist of more yarn ends and sewing yarn ends than substance :)!

Dann war da noch der "Tilted Cowl MKAL", den ich irgendwann mal angefangen hatte ...

Und da Patty neben mir 2/3 des Sofas beständig besetzt, muss sie halt wieder als Fotohintergrund herhalten :)!

Patty consequently occupies 2/3 of my sofa, so she offers herself as a photo background :)!

Teil 5 ist jetzt in Arbeit - und den letzten Teil mache ich auch noch fertig, bevor ich an die anderen Gestricke gehe!

Part 5 now is in progess - and I'll finish the last part before starting or continuing anything else!

Das liegt da auch noch wartend - Zickzack Swing, bei dem ich für die Reihe-für-Reihe-Anleitung Masche für Masche zählen muss ... nicht wirklich spaßig :)!

This is still waiting - Zickzack Swing for the row by row pattern, counting stitch by stitch while knitting ... not too much fun :)!

Und das Experiment, an dem ich gerade sitze - wenn es gelingt, wird es das Werkstück zu einem Live-Kurs in Helmstedt 2018 und irgendwann zu einem neuen Swing-Stricken Kursbaustein!

And this is the experiment that I am just knitting - if it works out fine, it will become the knitted piece for a live workshop at Helmstedt 2018 and some time later for a new Swing-Knitting workshop!

Das Mangrove Tuch fasziniert mich total - das will ich unbedingt stricken!
Die Wolle ist schon gewickelt und wartet jetzt in einer der lerr gewordenen Projekttaschen.

Diesen KAL werde ich im Dezember mitstricken - das Garn liegt schon bereit dafür, das Ravelry-Projekt ist angelegt!
