Weihnachtsstrickereien - Christmas knitting

Nachdem der Slandail Schal nun auch endlich fertig geworden war, sind jetzt mit Hochdruck Weihnachtsgeschenke auf den Nadeln!

Für 2 Stunden konnte er draußen zum Trocknen liegen, danach verzierte wieder der Wäscheständer meine ach so große Bude :)!

Und jetzt heisst es auf Fotowetter warten, damit ich das XL Modell dann auch fertig und angezogen zeigen kann - ohne Schirm :)!

The Slandail Scarf is finally finished - now high speed knitting of the Christmas presents is the topic :)!

I really could dry the scarf outside for 2 hours, then the drying rack adorned my o-so-large apartment again :)!

Now it's waiting for photo weather, I want to show you the XL Slandail as well, without an umbrella :)!

Meinen verunglückten Filzstern habe ich euch ja schon gezeigt - den muss ich noch einmal stricken, und dann mache ich ihn direkt größer.

Die Wolle für die Mütze (links unten) ist immerhin schon gewickelt :) - aber mehr habe ich da noch nicht geschafft!

The yarn for the hat (bottom left) I have already made into balls :), but that's all I had time for!

ABER: Mit der Decke für meine Mutter habe ich angefangen, und da habe ich schon ein gutes Stück fertig (noch 6 Tage ....).

BUT: I DID start with the afghan for my Mom, and I already knitted quite some rounds (6 more days left ....).

Eigentlich wollte ich ja eine andere Form stricken, aber dann fiel mir Birgits Red Fruit Jelly wieder in die Hände, und Spirale stricken macht so viel Spaß!!!!!

Und mal wieder "richtig" swingen - JAAAAA!!!



The afghan was planned with a different pattern, but then I rediscovered Birgit's Red Fruit Jelly.

Knitting spirals is so much fun, and some "real" free Swing-Knitting - YEAH!!!!!

Das ist das Garn - links vor dem Waschen ...

... und rechts nur einmal durch kaltes Wasser gezogen!

Der Kaschmir-Anteil flauscht wunderschön auf, aus dem relativ harten Tweed-Garn wird ein wunderbar weicher Stoff mit einem wunderschönen Strickbild!

Das ist Killary Tweed von Wollgarnspinnerei Ferner - ein Garn, das in der Spinnerei in Österreich produziert wird! Ich weiß, da stehen noch eine Menge Berichte aus ...

This is the yarn for the afghan, the left photo shows the yarn before washing it, and the right photo shows it after just a short bath in cold water!

The Cashmere part becomes so fluffy, and the rather harsh Tweed yarn becomes a soft and cosy fabric with a beautiful stitch definition!

The yarn is Killary Tweed by Wollgarnspinnerei Ferner, and the yarn is produced in the Austrian yarn mill I visited! I know I still have to write my resports ...

Und das wird auch wohl das letzte Zwischenfotosein, weil es doch recht mühsam ist, das mittlerweile schon gut gewachsene Teil auf die meterlange Nadel umzuhängen, um es ausgebreitet fotografieren zu können :)!

This is the third round, and now you can really see what happens!
This will be the last step photo I suppose, it is quite an effort to slip the quite large afghan onto a needle a few meters long to take a photo of the complete WIP.

Linda hat es sich gemütlich gemacht - bei dem Sturm- und Regenwetter will selbst die nicht raus! Und ich mach weiter mit den letzten 3 Anleitungen von Magische Maschen Mode 2!
